What We Believe
River'sEdge Christian Church is an independent Christian Church intent on restoring the nature and purpose of the Christian Church as described in the New Testament. As a Fellowship, it is our goal to have all programming focus on Christ, recognizing Him as the Head of the Church. We are also committed to the study and application of the Bible in our daily lives. As the family of God, our congregation is committed to the development and advancement of family values in our teaching, programming and recreational activities.
We Are Christ-Centered
We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God and as such, is Divine.
We believe that He came to earth as a man to search for and to save that which was lost because of sin.
We believe that He died on the cross to satisfy God's justice while remaining true to His mercy, and that His death atoned for our sins.
We believe that Jesus' physical resurrection from the dead verified that He has power over death and that the same power is accessible to us today.
We believe that we are saved by God's grace through our faith in Jesus at the time of our immersion into Christ to do good works that God created us to do.
We believe that Jesus is coming again to reward the faithful and judge the unbelieving.
We Are Bible-Believing
We believe that the Bible is the actual Word of God.
We believe that the Bible has remained accurate in its message and that its message is relevant to our time, society and culture.
We believe that the Bible is the only source of authority for the Christian and the final word on all matters of doctrine.
We believe that in areas where the Bible gives specific direction, we are to be obedient to that and where it is silent, we have freedom in Christ.
We believe that the Bible is complete as it is written and serves to teach, correct and mature the Christian so that he is properly equipped to serve the church as God has intended.
We Are Family Oriented
We believe that the family is an institution ordained by God.
We believe that the family is under attack by our present society.
We believe that a strong family is an important part of a moral nation.
We believe that the family that worships together is better able to meet the challenges of life's daily struggles.
